I received an email asking for Secret Shoppers. I provided my name, age, gender and mailing address. I did not give out other personal info. I received a "packet" via priority mail on March 23. It was a single piece of paper with various confusing instructions about what to do with the enclosed check for $2375.25. The informational packet is written in hard-to-understand gibberish. Using run-on sentences, mis-spelled words, improper grammar & incorrect math. According to them I should get to keep $223.25. I'm to use $50 on two separate shopping trips to 2 different Walmarts- they don't say which ones to go to. Then I'm to split up the remaining $2100 into 2 "equal" parts of $1100 each and send via money gram from 2 different Walmarts, deducting the money gram fees from the $1100 (yes, I'm aware that 1/2 of $2100 is $1050, not $1100, but that's what the letter says....). The receivers of the money are listed as: Michael Anderson, Chesapeake, VA 23322 and Shirley Desormeaux, Anahauc, TX 77514. I'm to send those people reports of my experience in the purchases and the money-gram transfers. In the initial email they claim to be from Sights on Service in the first sentence. But no where else is that name listed, and they use the patented name of "Secret Shopper". After that 1st email, no company name is used at all.

After I expressed interest in being a mystery shopper months pryor, I was emailed by a company calling itself "*** ** ***, Inc." and also said it was "The Premier Mystery Shopping Company" After being emailed by them, I checked the ScamPulse.com which rated them very highly. At that point, I dropped my guard and proceeded. They sent me a $3300. cashiers check from ***and my bank cashed it with no problem. I was then told to keep my $300. assignment fee and purchase 6-$500. prepaid *** *** *** Cards. I then purchased the 6 prepaid cards and got home to read the rest of my assignment, as I was told I would use these prepaid cards for my assignments. After I read the next part of my assignment, it explained that I needed to take a picture of the front and back of the prepaid *** cards and send them to them so they could verify I actually purchased them. That is when the light went off. If I would have done that, they could have spent that money online immediately, and I would have been out $3300. I went to the police and they said I was one of the very few who did not carry out the assignment and I was very lucky. I then called the *** *** ***  card company and had the worst experience of my life getting the refund, but did eventually get it back.

I was offered a job as a secret shopper. I received a check for over $2,000 which I had to distribute among several people. The grammar in the email was atrocious. The amounts I was to allocate for the different parties didn't add up. I wrote to them and told them I was going to check with the ScamPulse.com before I began my first assignment. I have now decided that this "job" is a scam and I am sending all of the material they sent me and my emails to the BBB. I hope that they warn the public that scammers are targeting this area.

Sights on Service. Sends email to me using different names from their emails. Have gotten over 7 requests to do business with them. I send a negative response but they just keep on coming.
