I was offered a remote job, sent a check for $5000 to use to purchase equipment from their vendor (I wondered why didn't they just send the vendor the money then vendor send me equipment. I was sent an offer letter to send back asap from their "hr". I replied after receiving check with several questions about job, etc. and the check situation and have not heard back. I let them know I was on to them and still haven't heard back. my gut told me this was fishy, or phishy thus contacting BBB.
