Upon contacting, the person proceeded to give me this huge story about their husband dying and wanting to honor his memory and give this away. They went on to tell more of a story. They gained my compassion for sure. Then when i asked about how we'd go about picking up and such, they said it was actually out of state in California at a storage. They stated shed contact them and let them know id be the one to deliver to. I gave my general address, not the apartment number. She knew my name but not my legal first and last name.
Then started saying they were wanting to know what payment method. Zelle, cash app, credit, debit.
It was strange to not get an invoice or any contact from the "storage company". I told her debit, but that id go ahead and contact them myself. Upon looking for this company I found a site that exposes Silverlane shipping as a scam. Everything started piecing together at that point and i continued to humor them to just really see how theyd reply from here. I stated we actually were going to be in California in a week so we could pick it up. They said we'd only have 2 days to get it because another months storage would be charged. We expressed we'd pay the fee once we saw the RV ourselves. They acted like they werent sure how thatd work because they are out of town. I stopped email at that point. I have emails if needed.
