I received a phone call from a 314 number I answered it it was a threat about serving me at my home and my employment. I called the number back from private. Then I spoke to a lady that was really nice believe it or not by the name of Kimberly bell, and she explained to me that I had a online payday loan back in 2012 she couldn’t tell me the name of the company directly but they had an account number and the original creditor was Webb loan either way the debt balance was $2750 and they agreed at a settlement balance of $850. I asked for proof of debt and validation of debt while I was on the phone with her I specifically asked about their address and she told me that they were remote, but she gave me an address when I looked up the address nothing popped up Rockwell legal group. It actually showed up a blank office building then she got her supervisor on the phone and my apologies I don’t remember his name but he was very stern and they emailed me the letter of the debt validation so by looking at that I thought maybe this is accurate. Unfortunately, then it got to getting down to payments and they only wanted to do one payment and I said there was no way I could do that so they agreed to do half today and half 30 days from now. Meanwhile I run to my bank I take money out I loaded on a prepaid card and I went to make the purchase with them as soon as they had the money clear all of a sudden none of their phone numbers were working and now when I called back, it sends me straight to an automated system and hangs up on me so once again, this was a scam, and it just deters me how people sleep nowadays and how people are getting away with this, but they got me for almost $500 not to mention they have my Social Security number and everything else I have other numbers I can provide. I also have a email notification that was sent from them with the attached document with the validation of debt, let me know if you need that.
