Simple Domain Host Reports & Reviews (14)

Received an invoice for web hosting from this company for $220. It seems that inflation made the scam go up from the previous $180 reported by others. We do not use their service and have never heard of them. In responses to other complaints they state that there was a letter explaining that it was a solicitation. I received no such letter and it is not written anywhere on the Invoice. I only received an invoice and self addressed return envelope. The document I received is labeled "INVOICE" and looks identical to a bill. It has an account number, amount due, options to pay by check or credit card, a description of the goods/services, etc.

This scam artist has been receiving complaints like this for years. In their responses, they blame third party marketers, advertising managers and others. They take no responsibility for scamming people. Any advertising my company uses or any I have heard about, sends a copy for approval before anything goes public. A reputable business would get one complaint and stop using any advertising/marketing company that sends out anything that is unapproved or that people believe is a scam. They would not continue to send out the same scam mail for years.

They sent us an invoice when we've never used their services let alone heard of them. There was 2 invoices listed, one under OMG National stating "ANNUAL Maintenance Fee" and another from "Simple Domain Host" for web hosting. Simple Hosting also sent us a fake invoice last year at this time which I didn't report.

In this particular instance with Simple Domain they did not state "solicitation for the order goods or services" as I've read in other complaints. These people need to be stopped as I'm sure people are falling for their weak tactics.

Simple domain host sent an invoice to my business for web hosting. I do not work with simple domain host and my website is hosted with another provider. This invoice is fake and misleading. If I had paid it, it looks like they would have changed my service without my knowledge.

Official looking bill. Half way down, there is a disclaimer that this is a solicitation for the order of goods and services, or both, and not a bill, invoice or statement of account due. I called the number and reached a voicemail and tried again and got a person who pretended she couldn't hear me. If you have a website you are signing for this fake company to take over your services.

This company has received many complaints on the ScamPulse.com site alone. Their responses always feign innocence by proclaiming that they are not sending invoices. This is a true statement. However, it is obvious that they intentionally try to deceive people by mailing them documents designed to look like invoices with items like 'Due Dates" and "Account numbers". Yet, they don't have pre-existing relationships with the businesses they "invoice".

They grab information that is publicly available from legitimate domain registries and include this on their fake invoices. It lends an air of legitimacy to their scam. In our case the cost of the "renewal" was $180.

Misleading you to pay an invoice for web hosting.

Sent to very old business address (2008)

We host our website with another company

They try to get around the law by adding "THIS lS A SOLICITATION FOR

THE ORDER OF GOODS OR SERVICES, OR BOTH, AND NOT A BILL, INVOICE, OR STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT DUE,"

However, it looks just like an invoice and two of my employees thought this was a bill!!

These guys sent us a $180 invoice for "Hosting", which is actually managed by a different company. They probably just scraped our public domain information (address / domain name / renewal date) and sent us this fake invoice.

Our business has received multiple "invoices" from this company, and we have never had anything to do with them. We have never purchased anything or signed up for any service with Simple Domain Host, and we have purchased our website domain through a different platform entirely. After doing a quick Google search, I found other people reporting the same sort of issues about this "company."

Received very official looking statement for yearly web hosting for $180.00. Checked with our website designer and was told this was a scam and not to pay the bill.

Unsolicited invoice received in the mail appears to be a renewal charge. The fact that this is not a legitimate bill for services is not clear and requires close reading of the whole text.

Victim has previously received emails attempting to overbill him for a "service" he has not used. This time it came as a bill in the mail.

Received letter from web hosting company using the name Simple Domain Host and Web Host Agents asking for "yearly shared web hosting" charges totally $180. The paper is clearly marked "INVOICE" with nothing stating that it is, in fact, not an invoice, but a solicitation for business, a fact that is only made apparent when you call their listed phone number and choose the option for questions about invoices received, at which point, a recording explains that it isn't an invoice. This is a variation of the Web Host Agents scam reported to NYS ScamPulse.com in previous years, with an office location listed in Miami instead of Manhattan this time.

Simple Domain Host sends out mailing looking like a bill or invoice as if you are their customer. They charge you for services that they are not providing. Be aware since we are not their customers and they have done this to us. When you call them, they state that it is not a bill, it is an offering of their service.
