I submitted my "assignment" as it was called, and was told I would be hearing back shortly. 2 days later, he (Nizar) messaged me again with very specific follow up questions to the assignment I submitted. Again, I answered them, and again, he told me I would be hearing back within a week. About a week later, he messages me again to let me know that I have been selected as one of the 3 creative strategists they've hired for the role but that the client they would've put me on just fell through, so can I please exercise some patience while they lock in the next client.
This was great news. I thought. I got the job, just had to wait for them to finish onboarding their next client - so I was told. I said of course, let me know when this is done, I am eager to start. Then a week goes by... I send a reminder in the Linkedin chat... no response. Another week goes by, I send another reminder - no response.
A month goes by, I send one last reminder - no response. I can still see that he (the CEO) is online & reading my messages by the way.
This whole situation happened mid september. It is now December 10th & I have officially decided to report the business.
It is clear to me that they are using fake job applications as a way to farm ideas and get free work from job seekers, setting assignments for people they have no intention of hiring or paying for their work / time.
