We lost $749 to a pet scam out of Houston Texas.. as far as we know the seller is "Simplydachshund Puppies" and Amanda K Memeses. What's the seller's name on the transfer of ownership papers we received. Everything was paid up in full and the puppy was supposed to be flown from Houston airport to Cleveland airport yesterday August 20th 2023. Amanda will not refund our money nor do we have a puppy. About an hour before the dog should have been on the plane we get an email from the delivery service stating that an insurance is needed for the dog of $1,415.00 and 95% would be refunded. We paid shipping up front and that was added afterwards then the seller said they couldn't pay the insurance then they could pay $500 then they can pay $870. So my daughter owns a dog that's in Houston Texas at a boarding area for Richardson delivery services and then they got back to us saying we have 43 minutes to pay the insurance or the dog goes to a shelter....and they also are going to be reported because they have our property.
