******** S**** posted an ad for hire through his “company” on Facebook searching for two security personnel to watch a building doing a large layoff. My friend and I responded to the ad and were hired for a 24 hour shift at $15/hour. He and I worked our shifts where we were told we’d receive relief from another employee later that night. At 6pm, he drove by to check in, explaining he’d be back in the morning at 10am. He never showed. In an effort to not abandon our posts, my friend and I stayed and ended up working 22 hours straight with only two hours of sleep keeping guard of the building. I spoke with ******** and explained the shift in detail. He gave my friend and I feedback that the business owners that hired him were not happy to see me taking a break outside of my vehicle, though no one was at the building at that time in the evening to see me taking a break. He made up other excuses and declined paying me or my friend for our work. We argued that the pay was promised, and he owed us at least what was worked. Upon further investigation I’ve found that many others have not been paid by him and he has multiple lawsuits against him for this very issue. He should be shut down.
