I took an quiz that appeared on my facebook timeline. The quiz was generated by "www.facebook.com/Sitcom-TV-Lovers-104726671298483". -- The quiz offered a "chance" to win a "free" T-shirt. Of course I "won", so I selected my shirt. I was then taken to a page where it said the T-shirt was free, but you had to pay $9.99 for shipping. After some deliberation, I decided I was okay with this and proceeded. -- I was then taken to a page where it said (I'm paraphrasing) "Hey, we also have some T-shirts on sale" and the page showed a random T-shirt being added to my order. There was no way to decline this additional charge on the page. Confused, trying to get to an order confirmation page where I could edit my cart, delete the "On Sale" T-shirt and confirm that I only wanted to pay the shipping for the free tee, I clicked through. Doing this, instead, confirmed the order with no way to cancel. It should also be noted that at no time was I given the opp to review any sort of "terms of service". -- I immediately contacted customer support through my Yahoo email to cancel the order, and called my CC company to dispute the charges. -- Curiously enough, rather than contact me back through email, Sitcom Lovers contacted me through Facebook. How they even had my FB info, I do not know. I made it very clear in Facebook messaging that I wanted to cancel the order because I never wanted to place it in the first place, and informed them that I had already wrote them at [email protected] and [email protected] to ask for cancellation. On Facebook, they then asked for my order number (Order Summary 3134468) and other info (Purchased on 2020-08-23 15:30:58), and then they said to check my Yahoo email. -- In my Yahoo mail, all I received from them was a breakdown of the charges. To which I immediately repied that I didn't care about how it broke down or what a "deal" it was, I just wanted my money back. They wrote back again a few hours later, professing how sorry they were, and offering me $5 off my next purchase, and $5 off the current purchase instead. They also said that they do not offer refunds on "sale" items, which, again, I never wanted to purchase in the first place. I immediately wrote them back and said that I was not interested in any $5 discounts, and that I wanted refunded. They have not responded. I also reiterated this info through the Facebook Messaging, which was "seen" by them and not responded to. I can provide copies of the emails and screen shots of the FB conversation if need be. -- Upon looking at the Terms of Service page on https://sitcomtvlovers.com/terms.php, it states on how to return items, but says "Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded." which is where the scam is- I never wanted to order their sale item in the first place, and again, even if I had, at no time was I prompted to accept their terms of service.
