Type of a scam Other
During my visits Cindy tried to sell thousands of dollars worth of services, but she did not warn me of the loopholes. I'd like to warn others about all of the sales tactics and gimmick services offered at the front desk, from scanning QR codes to signing up for various discounts, to chance promos, Botox membership clubs, launch parties ($3500 giveaways), app launches, loyalty points, using your phone to join, and more. Of course you must be present to win so you can pay and then you’ll get discounts you may never use. In my case, after filling out apps and scans when I arrived, once I was leaving, there was a wheel to spin to get a comp amount toward services. I did spin and it landed on $100 which was the highest amount. The catch is that you have to pay, in person, out of your pocket, then and there, that same amount to get what you "won" in order to get the “Prize.”
These tactics have many clauses, and many agencies warn consumers to avoid the bait and switch promos, as they basically mainly benefit the proprietor. Companies can instead just offer limited time specials and leave it at that. Because the Botox I received did not work, and the fact that the Botox caused chalazions on my left eye (verified by two professional doctors, and also obvious on the before and after photos the front desk person took), I recently asked for my $100 gimmick money back (I did not ask for the Botox cost back) as I would not be returning for further treatments. Cindy emailed me a long letter (after I found that her assistant entered my email address incorrectly all that time) that was like a legal note, serving herself and not her customer, refusing to refund my $100, and then she actually asked whether or not I wanted to keep my upcoming appt. I made sure to reply that I would definitely not be returning – no doubt she would have added a cancellation fee if I did not, as opposed to just cancelling it herself.
BUYER BEWARE - there are too many rules, too many "gaming" gimmick type programs, even now on the website. I expect a defensive reply as the owner wants to be right, as opposed to making sure her customers are satisfied. All she had to do was refund my “spin the wheel” deposit. Starting today, I will explore other avenues to spread the word, and involve the ScamPulse.com to retrieve my funds
