Sky pet movers is a scam.
My family was scammed. We are very upset of course. We were looking for a dog to become a service dog for my sister. She has epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy. We did not think someone would scam us but we were damn wrong. I saw a wonderful silver lab for sale on a website called Brillantlaboraderhomes.com. It was a fake website little did I know. Now normally we do tons of research before we even consider contacting the website but we were happy we found a dog. I contacted the website and asked about the puppy. I was then contacted by email and by text messages. The dog was only $750. The breeder claimed the dog was in Dallas Texas and He needed another 250 for shipping. So in total, He got 1000 dollars. We were interested in a couple of the dogs. He sent us pictures of the dogs and kept saying he would move the dog to the delivery agent once the payment was complete. He asked us to take a picture of the confirmation number you receive once the transaction is completed using Zelle. NEVER DO THAT! He tried to reassure us, saying he will be taking the dog to the delivery company called “Sky Pet Movers”. This is a scam! The company does not exist! It was getting late so he said he would take the dog to the company for shipping the next day.
The following day, He took the dog for “registration and shipping”. I thought it was a little odd but I did not think much of it. We called him personally to understand what we had to do. He said wait. So we waited and then that is when I got an email from “Sky Pet Movers” In the email, they said the dog needed a heated crate to get to Nebraska ( where we are from) As It is cold outside we thought it was reasonable. They gave us options to either buy or rent one. We decided to rent one which was $1500. I tried to Zelle the money to the company that did not exist. We emailed the company and then called the company saying we would like to rent a crate and we could only pay 1000 because of our bank account limit. The breeder agreed to pay the 500 extra. I started to question everything and looked up the company. Right off the bat, that company was on scamplus.com and on BBB.org. I hope by putting this out there, Someone will read this and not get heartbroken as we are right now. Knowing we lost 2000 dollars to some poor soul who thought it would be funny to take money from a disabled child and their family is really upsetting. Please do not fall victim to these scams.
