I was contacted by what supposed to be a security company that offered me a position starting at 22.50 an hour. There was an email account created for me through Outlook. Once reaching your post you must sign in with a company called Gusto, Deputy and Protos. I believe Gusto is responsible for tracking hours, making proper deductions and providing paystubs. On the 29th of Oct I received an email from Protos titled "Start tracking your hours" so I phoned them for clarity. I was told I would get paid once my admin or manager has added me. I phoned the manager who told me everything would be taken care of by the upcoming Friday which was my 1st payday. Though we filled out forms allowing me to get paid automatically via checking account I was not paid. After reaching out to them and informing them I was warned on my 1st day that they do not pay their employee's, and they seem to be making that statement true. I was eventually sent 484.00 via cash app without any paystub showing me hours worked, deductions or hourly pay. I asked to be provided this information and was told to email my concerns, and they would get back to me later in the week. My concern were not addressed. I later found out that my security guard license was never activated by the company. It is illegal to man a post without being licensed, something they had me doing for almost a month. My 2nd pay day should have been on the 15th of Nov. I, along with a co-worker was not paid anything. After having an attorney reach out to them, I received a text message stating "No one has gotten paid, Protos is paying Monday, they are dragging their feet because of the investigation." I have no knowledge of an investigation and have not heard anything from them since this message that was sent on the 23rd of Nov.
