Skyland pug puppies Reports & Reviews (2)

I was on an affiliated site where AKC breeders post their dogs available. My husband explains that it sounds like the site had an ad hack that made it look like I was tapping a legit link on their site. The link took me to a site, that looked on the surface totally professional. I spend a lot of time looking all over the site and it used all the "right" buzz words. The site gave a flat fee for each dog, and upfront shipping options and charges. They said that the dogs would be transported with an AKC approved handler. They had this lovely description of their farm that the dogs are raised on and lots of pictures of adult breeding dogs and "their family" that together they raise the dogs with. The man in the pictures is all the same. I felt really good about everything I was reading. I had not heard of pet scams before, I have now. We decided to contact seller. They asked lots of questions about us and our environment, questions that you'd expect to be asked. They said they were in San Antonio and asked if we were planning to come get the pet there or if we wanted to use one of their shipping options. (All of this was done through text, which I was okay because I don't do phone calls well). I never asked to video chat with the dog. They sent us shipping info with Blue Prime Logistics, and a link to their website, which looked okay too on the surface. We opted to have the dog shipped because it was cheaper that us going out to San Antonio. The next day, my husband googled to refind the site and it didn't come up in google. That set up red flags and I looked for the company name "Skyland Pug Puppies reviews". The only thing that came up was warnings about pet scams, but nothing that mentioned this company. Nothing positive or negative, that set of warnings in my head. I started reading about the pet scams and doing reverse image searches on the pictures of the pugs on the site. All were coming up from social media posts (water marks removed). My husband then did a domain search looking for who owned the domains, they were all created less than a month ago. My husband did text searches and found that all the verbage on the site were copied and pasted from more legitimate breeder's sites. We contacted our bank, the transaction was done through Zelle, our bank covers purchases through Zelle as the same as a debit card purchase so we are lucky and will be reimbursed but Zelle is not like using a credit card or paypal. It is a platform that you can dispute charges with most institutions, even though it is on their platform. We are lucky that our institution honors disputes. Do not use Zelle or money order.

The website will change, the phone we are 99% sure is a burner phone. The name they gave me was Michael Denwie, but we're are sure that was just a made up name too.

We purchased a pug puppy from an online “breeder” and after some red flags with requests for additional monies we were able to tell this transaction was a scam and no puppy existed.
