I am extremely upset by what appears to be fraudulent business practices by Skyline Security. A person came to our home on 7/12/2023 indicating that they were from Brinks and wanted to update my equipment for free. Neither my husband nor I had contacted Alejandro Nava or set this appointment. Unfortunately, we let the person in our home to make the suggested equipment updates. We both were busy working from home at the time and our focus was on our work commitments. At the time the person did not make it clear that they were from Skyline security and completely misrepresented their position, the situation and lied to us about the contract and terms. Brinks informed us that we needed to call Skyline to cancel the contract. When speaking to Skyline, we were informed that we had signed a 5-year contract and we would have to pay $4,000 do get out of the contract. We never received a copy of the contract to this day as was promised!! The day we signed it was on a tiny handheld device that was difficult to even read. I was the one who was home to set everything up, and I provided my personal information and I was the one there. However, the sales rep input my husbands name and the sales rep signed the docusign document himself on his little ipad I never physically toughed it to sign it. He did not inform me that there was only a 3-day cancelation policy. They called after instillation and got verbal yesses from me and my husband. However, we agreed under the false pretense that they were partnered with ADT and that they were just coming to updated our system. They put in their own panel and are piggybacking off of ADT's equipment. I was informed by ADT that their equipment will no longer work once I cancel with ADT, and Skyline is charging me an equipment purchase fee for all of the equipment the supposedly supplied which was 1 panel.
