This is a company that loves to take advantage of former student trying to clear their student loan debt. They took my hard earn money that could’ve went toward my student loans and never gave me a callback or refund.

SL account management charged $199. from 09/18 -04/19 and $20 from 05/19-09/19 for a $0 payment through a loan forgiveness. They also said the would maintain my recertification throughout program. In the last week of October SL account management collected my documents and never filed my recertification. When I called SL account management phone number was out of service, and nobody responded to my emails. I filed with fed loans after deadline due there breech, luckily because there was a 10-day grace period I was able to file. I was approved 2 weeks later, but I had a different payment other than what SL account management sign me up for.

I attempted to apply to the Public Service Forgiveness Loan. After researching and talking to coworkers, I found a company called Financial prepartion services that had said they were affiliated with Department of Education and would help me with this process. They referred me to SL Account Management. SL was going to reconsolidate my federal loans through Fedloan and enroll me in a forgiveness program. For the first 6 months payments were $199 and then the following months were $40 for 240 months. They told me my loan would be forgiven after this time frame. All 13 payments were taken from my account but Fedloan never receieved my money. Sl Account Management had changed my address and contact info so Fedloan could not tell me that I was not making payments. I now owe the loan that I thought would be forgiven plus the accrued interest it left! (and I paid over one thousand dollars to this company for no reason).

Got intial call from them. Said they were affiliated with dept of education. Got all my personal information. Oncluding tax returns, bank accounts ect. Told me i hsd to make 6 payments to them of $200 then my loan would go on a $30 plan for 25 years and loan will be dismissed. I learned it was a scam when i contacted dept of education

We were contacted by this company 1 year ago who claimed to be the Department of Education Even using the federal seal. They claimed to be offering the opportunity for student loan forgiveness/consolidation. We were told they would take over our account and we would initially pay about $150 A month for the first five months to help lower our overall balance and then after that charged a fee of $10 a month that would all be applied to our balance and that at the end of a set term the remaining balance would be forgiven. We have come to find out through the department of education that this company is a scam. Not only did they lie about their services and cause Major damage to our credit but they also are not a part of the department of education or our loan servicer. We found our real loan servicer and not only did our loan balance go up due to the fact that the money we were paying them was just being pocketed and not at all applied to our loan but that they falsified documents in our name with our actual servicer. We also have found that it is entirely illegal for them to charge a fee for this service and they broke federal law by using the federal seal. They used our personal information to falsify legal documents on our loans that we now have to fix and try and play catch up on a loan that we thought we had been paying on for over a year. Not to mention the wasted time and damaged credit and lost money to this scam. We are wanting damages paid for the fraudulent claims and activities they performed and the increased loan debt that we have now accrued as well as the amount of money paid to them.

I use Nelnet and studentloans.gov to keep an eye on my student loans. After using the repay estimator to look at my options to repay my debt, I chose the option to use a low-income forgiveness program. Shortly after I was contacted by a "Casey Kulek" and a "Marc Lopez" from SL Account Management to setup my program and paperwork. They had ALL of my information that was stated on this "secure" student loan web site. This site is "secure" right? I sent them a pay stub for proof of income and made my initial program payment. That was where I was an [censored]. This was initiated about 2 months ago. Since that period, I have had 3! 3! Three! tax returns from this year garnished, I lost my truck, my work wages were unlawfully garnished(still are being garnished), not 1 single cent of my debt has been diminished, not 1 hard copy of documentation through the mail has been sent to verify anything. I called the company, no reply, no answers. I called the housing building that holds the company, they told me they are not allowed to tell me what businesses are established there and have a nice day. Not one single person has been held accountable for this, not one person has been able to help me, including government agencies that are supposed to protect people from this. I can still call them right now and reach Casey Kulek in the processing department who is probably sitting back flipping my money through the air while I am practically starving to death right now and losing everything I built in the last 5 years because of these greedy people. I have lost my faith in the "system", which is the government, the education system, and just about anything that will require a piece of my life to attain. So much for putting my life on the line for this country. I am a decorated war veteran who just wanted to go to college to pursue happiness, instead, I am suffering badly and considering bad alternatives to my situation. My advice, don't take anything from anyone for any reason. These people are lucky I can't drive to CA
