I put this under scam because of the way this went down.
I played the Slotocash.com casino games. I used my Citi Cash Credit card on May 25, 2023 and again on May 30, 2023. I thought everything was okay, but later in June my credit card was hacked for about $1500. Any unfamiliar charges I disputed and Citi card closed the account once they cleared responsibility on my end. Two of the unfamiliar charges were the Slotocash.com online casino transactions.
I got an email from Slotocash.com saying there was a "chargeback" and that I owed them $100. This is part is legit.
I explained to them what happened in the email. I got a phone call from them.
I talked to a representative, Dru. She said to go get a $100 Prepaid card. I did that at Target (walked into the store and purchased). I attempted to use it on their website to pay off the account. The page kept saying "Preauthorized". I contacted them through the chat again. I have been called and on the phone with them a couple more times. The last gal, Meredith said she did not see any attempt to pay on their end. I uploaded a screen shot and she said she saw it and they will see what happens on their end. She recommended that I go out and spend another $100 for a Prepaid MasterCard. I said Visa is accepted worldwide, I don't understand why they cannot authorize the current prepaid card amount. She said she will see what they can do at their end to process the numbers I gave them, prepaid card number, expiration date and security code.
If you cannot assist me with this, please give me some sound advice as I really want to pay this debt, and the only other option for them is Bitcoin, which I am totally unfamiliar with this type of digital currency.
Several days have gone by. I went on the Visa gift card site and saw that I still had an available balance of $100. I contacted through the chat (that's the only way to get in contact with someone).
I asked them if they take Checkout PayPal digital currency, but I haven't heard back, and to be honest, I really don't like PayPal as I had to fight with them for a year and a half to get under $35 due me from using Retailmenot.com website.
