I was contacted to be a speaker at a conference and was sent a fraudulent cashiers check. I was told "We will pay a fee of $1,500 for your entire presentation which you will expect to receive be-fore the conference ends. We are working with the equipment company, Micro Center to create an order for the equipment you would need for your presentation. As per their company policy, they will ship out the ordered items only to your billing name and address. With that being said, we shall provide you with a cashier's check in the amount of $5,000 in which you deduct $500 part of your payment and wire transfer the balance of $4450 to the company’s agent as payment for the equipment. Your balance of $1,000 will be sent after the commencement of our conference. We have placed the order for you to carry out your work and upon receipt of their payment, they will be responsible for sending you the items listed We are holding a conference which would last one hour. We are hoping we could use your experience as a Certified Coach where you will share with an audience of about 50 to 100 persons on how being a Certified Coach has been an amazing part of your life. We believe a fresh audience out there would love to dive into this career path and you could be a career angel to help their dreams come true.
