On 10-20-2015, I purchased a flight ticket for Nov. 19, 2015 thru Nov. 30, 2015 to go from Pittsburgh, PA to Timmins, Ont. Canada. I received a call from the SmartFares.com people telling me that my flight was cancelled and that I was being moved to Air Canada. I had in my possession, the itinerary for my flight. I actually had the confirmation of the flight with Porter Airlines. Smartfares talked to me about the move that I did not request. I asked why the change and they told me "It was Cancelled", so they smartfares was moving me to Air Canada. The price was going to increase and they wanted a confirmation from me. I told them that I would call back if it were true about the cancellation. I called Porter Airlines and they told me that there were plenty of seats available for my trip to Canada. I called Smartfares about the flight and I told them that I had already confirmed the flight with Porter. I told them to take my reservation and basically place it where the sun don't shine.

How many others are they doing this to?? I am a retired engineer and I do my research before I undertake a task.

This needs to be looked into so they don't scam others to make more money.
