They have my personal information and wanted to send me a check to cash to buy equipment from “their vendor” for work

I found the job posting on LinkedIn. When I applied I got an email to schedule interview. The email explained the interview would be via slack app because it's suppose to be similar to how the job would go. Did the interview the interaction was normal. But after doing further research on the company the address is to a condo in Miami, the about me had too many typos, the people are not real, the foundations the sponsor are real non profits but they are not listed as a sponsor anywhere, no copyright on the webpage and no actual information on the company. I feel like a fool for falling for this scam. First the Bluebird scam now this. I don't have money as is that's why I'm job searching the job description was too good to be true.

I had an interview, received an offer, and got as far as receiving a check in the mail to order the necessary equipment. It was when I brought the check to the bank when I realized it was all a scam. The packaging the check was in was from Tennessee not Florida. On their "website" there are no emails provided for the employees listed on the "about us" page. None of the listed employees listed had a Linkedin or other social media. The fact the interview was not face to face should have been my first red flag. Plus when I go back to the Slack account of the person who interviewed me it says their account is now deactivated. And to top it all off they are now asking for my checking account number so they can
"resolve" the issue themselves. It's now clear to me this is a scam where they try and get you to purchase the equipment from their "certified vendor" before the check bounces, and then your left responsible for the money you just spent out of your bank account.
