Be careful when you are putting down a deposit for puppies that you found over the internet. I wrote a check to Barbara Smith for $500 as a deposit for a chow chow puppy in 2017. Throughout the two years, I didn't hear any updates from her. Wrote to her several times asking for a refund on something she couldn't deliver with no communications at all. Now her website doesn't even show chow chow puppies anymore. Feel like I just wrote a random stranger a check for $500 for nothing at all.
