Received a call to ship our car, gave us a quote and set up a pick up date. Day of pickup driver came up and and requested payment of cash only and double of agreed price. Luckily we never put down a deposit.
Things he will say:
“I’m a dispatcher who owns my own company “
“We have 14 trucks in our fleet”
“Price is all included and covers 50000 dollars of insurance”

He is really just a broker who I only assume just looks at DYI shipping websites in his underwear after work to make some extra money. He will also tell you you pay more but then get the money back as a rebate. Do not trust them the shipping company will just keep your car until you pay full price.

Ask for all the documentation that you can from this guy and you will see the he is a scammer
