A random lady at the store saw that I bought UGG boots and approached me. She told me that there is an online store that sells them cheaper and gave me the website, http://www.snowbootous.com/. I found that all boots were over 50% and I attempted to make an online purchase for $155 and some change. When I clicked submit, I immediately got an error message and prompted me to resubmit my payment. I chose not to and took a screen shot for confirmation purposes that I had not made the purchase. I checked my credit card transaction through the mobile app and found that I had a pending charge of $172.21 from Folaini Eshop. Because I didn't recognized this order I called my credit card company and was advised to contact the merchant where I first wanted to buy the boots from to make sure my transaction didn't go through. The website's only means of contact is through email. I sent them a message. I proceeded to check my email and found an order confirmation from the online store. I was confused because as I mentioned before, my order had not gone through due to the error and it wanted me to resubmit my payment. The email came from UGG Outlet Store, [email protected]. I replied to this email and demanded an explanation as to how this was even possible and why were they charging my credit card a different amount. Someone replied hours later, stating my order was OK and they were going to ship it soon. They explained that the extra amount charged was due to bank fees and that it was not mentioned on the site because the shoes are already at a discounted price. This was a very broken message, unprofessional, and seemed like a complete scam. I submitted a claim to the credit card company for this unauthorized charge and demanded the person from that email to remove my information and not to send me anything because I shouldn't have been charged in the first place if there was an "error." Let alone charge me with "hidden fees." I'm not sure if the person that gave me the site is a victim or if she was part of this scam... I do have her phone number, as she agreed to send me the website via text.
