My mother is hoping to buy a new dog after hers recently died. She found the website, https://snowhitewestiepups.com, and reached out via the contact page. They replied using the email [email protected], which is how they communicated primarily. The person sent photos and a video of the puppy but was unable to FaceTime/video chat. My mom did speak to Jamie Wahab on the phone. The payment for the puppy including shipping was $1000. My mom agreed to send the money via Zelle. She transferred the money to my bank account so that I could send the zelle. The email that was associated with the zelle was: [email protected] and the name is Tobi Wahab. After we sent the zelle, by mom was sent a screenshot of the shipping tracking information and the shipping company which seemed legitimate. When the shipping company said they couldn't deliver the dog until we paid for the insurance for the pet (something the breeder did not make us aware of), we became skeptical. The shipping company asked for $1180. But as I texted with Jamie, they said it was normal and legitimate. I also spoke to the shipping company. We sent the additional funds to the shipping company, then after that, they emailed saying they needed an additional $977 for a crate, at which point we realized it was a scam. I tried calling the numbers we have for the breeders and no one ever responded (to my calls or text) and last night when I called one last time, it said the phone was out of service.
