My husband and I have been getting calls from a robot (woman voice) stating to be calling from SSA office and to call back our assigned representative at 916-742-6939 immediately or our social security would be frozen. I called which I now regret, the man was rude and refused to speak on conference call. my husband called him directly and this man with heavy accent burped on the phone and told my husband that he did not like his attitude and hung up on him. we contacted SSA office directly and they have informed us that they did not make any calls and would not do so for fraud prevention or so on.
