The caller called my phone at around 10:15am on March 11, 2021 claiming his name was Charles Green from a Texas Social Security Office asking for me by my last name and requesting the last four digits of my social security number. I let him know I was not going to divulge and give that information until I knew where he was calling from and about what. He claimed several times it was in relation to suspicious activity found on my social security number and that if I did not confirm my number would be "discontinued". None of this makes sense to me personally as there would not be anything suspicious there. The number he called from was a city of Cambridge which I called back a few minutes after he hung up on me because I was asking more questions. The number is from the city of Cambridge so I've alerted someone there as well that the number has been hijacked to make these spam calls. The number the call came through is a local number in my area 617-349-6362. I have never traveled to nor lived in Texas before and only reason I picked up is because these are coming through local calls and the phone company is not picking up as spam.
