They have called more than once, from different numbers. But they are asking for your name and for you to verify you SSN. If you don't verify, that ask for the last four digits. I think they get your name from their caller ID, bc I told them my name was something totally different but that kept mistakenly calling me by by real name. He told me that he was going to block my SSN from the government and credit agencies. I'm glad that I have sense enough to know the the SSA and/or government would never call me directly and that they only contact you by mail. Please be careful and make sure your elders know not to provide information to these scammers. They are out to get you.

Someone just called my phone saying my info had been compromise. When I hit 1 it claimed to be social security and they want call you like that unless very important. It was a man from another country. When I told him I wasn't given him my social security info he cussed at me and called me names. I knew something wasn't right. I called number back and it claimed to be BCD Travel Australia and that they were closed. But one dude name Abdul was the only one working there. Lies. The number is 770-829-2891. If you get a automatic call saying your stuff has been compromise hang up, like I should have done and don't give them your last 4 of your social security number. If you can be nicer than me and get their information and report the out of them

They left a message saying action filed for criminal activity against my social security number for criminal activity and law enforcement will immediately suspend your ss if you don't return the call. I called and someone with accent started talking about being with Medicare something. At that point I told him I hoped he could get a real job helping people instead of trying to scam old people.

Received a call telling me that their had been suspicious behavior associated with my SSN and two addresses in El Paso, TX. Person gave me a case number and an officer' s name and badge number. Also told me that they had an arrest warrant #. They asked me if I had given my SSN to anyone. They also asked me if I did a lot of on-line shopping. After some time on the phone I asked for more information about the case and why I wasn't notified in a more official way. They were unable to give me adequate answers and in the end, they said they were forwarding this information to my local law enforcement so they can arrest me. They then hung up the phone.

I called the above number and was connected to "Care One Debt Relief Services". The person who answered the phone said that their number is 888-686-4040. The 800 number must be routed to this 888 number.
