I received a call stating it was the Social Security department that my Social Security number had some errors in it and that they needed me to press number one so they could talk to me and otherwise my Social Security benefits with all be cut off I hung up

Received two independent calls from two different numbers listed above for the same scammer or same type of scam. answered phone to a automated message saying they have suspended your social security number due to fraudulent activity. The other says there is something fraudulent about your social security number. I blocked the number because social security will not call you unless you make a appointment with them.

Used local number. When answered recording informed me that my social security had been used in Texas. Hung up. Tried calling number right back, and number was not available.

I received an automatic call stating that it's the Social Security Administration and it has detected fraudulent activity on my account and to press 1 to speak with a representative, which I did. The guy come on the call and asked why I was calling. Informed him that I received a call stating possible fraud was detected on my social security number. The guy ask me for my last four to verify my identity. I told him that I needed to verify who I was speaking with so I needed his contact information. He abruptly hung up the phone.

Call with recorded message that your Social Security number has been comprimised and will be cancelled unless you talk to an investigator about it, by pressing #1. If you do not your SSN will be perminantley cancelled??

I hung up at this point but wanted to report.

I have had several calls per day telling me my Social security has been tampered with and I need to press one to connect but,of course I never answer they leave a message on my phone.I also get calls about my credit card and my warranty on my car is running out.I don't understand why the someone cannot find a fix for this.It gets ridiculous especially when your a senior!!

I received a recorded telephone call indicating that "your Social Security Number has been compromised and the card will be suspended." Recording then indicated to press "1" to speak to an agent. I hung up.

Was told identity was stolen also a car was found in Texas with money and drugs in it and the us marshals would come see me tomorrow with paperwork and my arrest. Also money was transferred from me to a bank account overseas.

Received a call on cell phone 10/01/2019 @ 8:54 AM. They left a voice mail, "Message kindly revert as soon as possible on our number that is 512-256-8244. I repeat 512-256-8244 before we begin with the legal proceedings dot thank you and have a nice day." I checked the number online and people stated it was a scam involving the social security number.
