I selected a puppy, and filled out the online application. I was contacted fairly quickly, and asked for a $400 deposit, which I sent through Zelle. Then we discussed shipping. I was told the shipping was included into the price of the dog.
On the evening before the puppy was to be shipped, the man, Jarmarion Dixon, requested the remaining balance. I told him I preferred to pay for the dog once it was at DFW, and told him I knew he could put a hold on the dog for final payment. He replied that it was not how he ran his business, so I reluctantly agreed. I should have known if it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it.
The next morning when the puppy was to be shipped, I received an email from Sky west shipping department saying the crate the dog was delivered in wasn’t sufficient for shipping freight, and I needed to pay another $1000 to rent a crate, but my money would be refunded when the crate was returned. I contacted the breeder and told him he needed to fix the shipping problem, as he said shipping was included. He offered to split the cost.
At this point I knew enough was enough. Instead of going through their link to check shipment, I got directly onto the sky west web sight. As I suspected, the tracking number issued was invalid.
He’s still contacting me asking me to share the cost of shipping. I googled the address and found a house up for sale. I’m pretty sure that isn’t even the correct address, and he found it online.
