Person called asking if I was Ms. xxxx to which I said YES.

Worried about scams because I answer an affirmative

Otherwise he claimed to be with solar company and trying to sell me solar.

Could not find that number on internet and no reply when I called back.

Thinking it might be a spoofed number and worried because I replied ‘yes’

Local number calls and wants to discuss solar and asks if you are the home owner. They can record you saying yes and if you google it, the potential is there to steal your phone number or accounts.

This was the newest scam where they start asking questions in order to illicit the response "yes." They then use your voice recording to authorize charges on your behalf

The caller asked me if I was there. I answered "yes" before I thought about it. I heard my answer repeated back to me, so I'm quite sure he recorded me.

Received call from unknown number identifying self as a solar company, asked me "can you hear me?" Then asked if I was offered solar service, would I be interested? I said no and they hung up.
