I have been applying for job offers for remote data entry positions. I was contacted by a recruiter by the name of Manuel who stated he was a representative from Soltec Power Holdings S.A. He advised me to add the hiring manager’s Discord and go through the interview process. The hiring manager’s name was Teresa Munayco Rogerro. I went through the interview process and the following day was sent W-4 and I-9 documents, including an offer letter from Soltec. They advised they were going to send funds to cover computer equipment for the position. I assumed this was a new way of doing business and didn’t question anything. The following day I received 3 checks, 2 of which came from 1 envelope. I mistakenly deposited the checks and immediately had a hold on one of my accounts. The scammer coerced me to send $2000 worth of bitcoin to a wallet. I have all documents and screenshots proving these individuals scammed me.
