My personal cell phone number starts with *** and I got a call from a 412-956 number. So automatically I figured it was someone who needed me. I answered and when I answered it was an automated person saying "click 9 for an interest rate on your credit card for as low as 6%" .... unfortunately I clicked 9. I'm only 22 and I just applied for my first credit card a couple days ago so I figured, "hmm this might be real" when the guy answered he said "did you click 9 for a lower interest rate and I replied by saying "yeah" and then he continued to say that I have multiple credit cards in my name and I said "no I just applied for my first one the other day" and he said "ok mhm" and then hung up on me. I then JUST remembered how I shouldn't say "yes" or "yeah" to any caller that I don't know. I'm hoping to not have gotten myself into any trouble from this. But I will say... there is an app that you can download on your phone (I used to have it to trick my friends) where you can use any number that you want to call someone's phone. So they used my same 956 so that I would answer. And it worked. And when I call that number back, it says that it is a non working number. So I am positive that they are using that app.
