This company advertised a "free consultation". I made an appointment and went in with a release form for my knee xrays which were done a few months prior. This consultation was to discuss if their treatment would be beneficial for me. I attempted to provide the release form but they stated that they would look at my knees on their machine. I stood next to the machine and it showed up on a screen. There were no injections of dye given prior and it was not explained what this machine was (it was not an xray machine and was done right in the room I was in.

Because I could not get any information what the out of pocket cost would be to me, I cancelled appointments that were to take place after this "free consultation". I was shocked to receive an EOB from my secondary insurance (Medicare's EOB has not been received yet but bills go to them first) I called Medicare as advised by my secondary insurance and they verified this company billed them for nearly $800. $500 for an office visit and $290 for an injection. A doctor's name was listed as provider, however, I never saw a doctor, only an assistant. I did not have an injection in my knee. Medicare is now investigating.
