Ordered through a website through Facebook. The site looked legit and offered PayPal for payment. I made my purchase and checked out through PayPal and received a notice through PayPay with a shipping tracking number from Canada Post. But the package never arrived.
I filed a claim with PayPal and was denied because it said the item was delivered. I've been in touch with Canada Post multiple times and they cannot give me proof that the package was delivered – but insist that it was because the tracking number says so, even though it is very vague and says "was delivered to a mailbox in --- city".
I am so frustrated and very disappointed in Canada Post's system and PayPal will only reimburse me if I have proof that the item wasn't delivered.
I also ordered from another "shell" site and the same thing happened (this was before I knew it to be a scam). This time they used a UPS tracking number. I have filed a claim with PayPal which is not yet resolved but I'm not hopeful.
