I am in the process of purchasing a vehicle. While doing an online search I came across South Commercial Auto Sales. I was interested in a vehicle they advertised on their website I called the phone number listed. I spoke with a person named Krista who suggested I fill out a credit application online to determine what financing options might be available to me through their business (South Commercial Auto Sales). Krista then told me she would have a sales person named Brady reach out to me with the link for the credit application as well as information regarding a specific vehicle I was interested in. Krista and I ended our phone call with me expecting to receive a call from Brady and a text message with the link to complete a credit application. Some time passed and I did not hear back from anyone at the business. I wanted to continue to pursue the vehicle that had prompted me to contact South Commercial Auto Sales, so I called back to see if Brady had possibly forgotten to reach out to me. The phone was answered this time by Brady who said he had spoken with Krista and was just getting ready to reach out to me. I received the link to complete the application and followed the link and completed, then submitted my full credit application. I heard nothing back from the business regarding the status of my application that day. The next morning I called back to South Commercial Auto Sales to see if my application was received. The person who answered the phone did not identify themselves, but was familiar with who I was and seemed to be aware that I had completed an application for credit. I was told by this individual that I would be contacted some time that day with the result of the application. Again, I received no further contact or information regarding the status of my application. I continued to search for a vehicle and went to another dealership to inquire about a different vehicle for sale. This dealership did a credit application with me physically present. During a review of my information I discovered that my personal credit score had decreased by 50 points. I believe that South Commercial Auto Sales did complete a credit inquiry against me as no other lenders have reviewed my credit score during my car shopping process. I have never received any additional information regarding the status of my application and have NOT been extended an offer of credit by South Commercial Auto Sales.
