I bought a blouse through Southern Ivy (I've also seen the same blouses sold by https://shopsassygrace.com and https://lovelinessboutique.com). Their refund policy states you must contact [email protected] in order to obtain the return address. The day the blouse came I emailed them immediately as it was very poor quality, no care instructions or label, only size L label. Their refund policy states you can return items for any reason at your own expense but if it's "poor quality" they will take responsibility. They proceeded to deny there was a quality issue and therefore would not accept return shipping costs. I asked twice for the return address and was offered discounts on future purchases if I would just keep the item. I refused the discounts and finally was given the return address which turned out to be in Shanghai, China. The blouse was over 6 oz. so cost $18.95 to return without tracking. Southern Ivy's refund policy states to provide tracking number "or copy of return receipt" so I did not purchase the tracking, otherwise it would have cost more to return the item than it was worth. Southern Ivy also suggests putting a lower cost on the customs form to lower costs, so I entered $4.80, and the USPS postal worker thought I was crazy for paying $18.95 to send this item back but at this point it was a matter of principle. I forwarded copies of the receipts to Southern Ivy (via PayPal site) and they stated when they received the item I would receive my refund. USPS had also told me that many items are untraceable once they enter China so I thought I may never get my money back. I escalated the issue with PayPal and recently received my $40.98 back but of course nothing for shipping. I'm reporting this because the USPS has many abandoned packages at their offices from customers that would rather abandon the item than pay for the cost to return it to China. This item, by the way, was initially shipped to me from Georgia, US. I will not buy anything online again without knowing the return address first.
