I was contacted by Emily Young after filling out an online contact form. She stated I was approved for a loan, up to $5000. I told her I didn't need $5000, I only needed $1000. She stated ok and said she would send over the paperwork. After get the paperwork via email, I thought there is something wrong with this. Emily then called me and stated I need to send $585.00 to David Landen in Alberta Canada and needs to be sent through Western Union. I questioned what the name of the Bank that is lending me the money and all there information. Emily stated I will get all the information sent to me at my P.O Box. I then told her NO Thank You. I didn't need the loan. She became upset with me and stated I was wasting her time. I hung up with her and then called Western Union so they could block the name David Landen from every being sent money.

My situation is similar to those that were posted. I was trying to obtain a loan for a security deposit for my apartment on my phone the end on November going into December, 2023. I honestly was getting desperate because I'm on limited income and have financial issues going on on top of everything (2023 royally SUCKED for me). So, when they had called, I don't know why other than being desperate, I had let my guard down. I had originally "worked" with Kevin West, his extension is #5, and he had told me that he had found a lender up in Alberta, Canada, for 5 grand. All I had to do was sign a contract and wire over money for a collateral payment and it would go towards the first couple payments I would have to make. Ok, I had signed the paperwork and had emailed it back to them and sent the money over. A couple days later, he called saying that they did a more thorough credit check and needed more money for the collateral. And he had had reassured me that it was going towards my first couple payments.

Then, the next day, someone with the name "Derek" from their loan release department - his extension is #1- had called saying that the lender now wanted insurance money all of a sudden and they they were trying to work with them to lower what they wanted. I started to ask why they want all this money all of a sudden, but all he said that they were being difficult. I, very stupidly, had sent the money over even though I was starting to second guess everything. "Derek" had later called saying that they had dropped the lender because they were tired of arguing with them over the amount of money they wanted for the insurance (or just in general, they wanted this one amount and "Derek" told me they were using some of their petty cash to help me make the full payment). They couldn't find another lender to help me and that they were going to refund all the money I had sent over into my bank account December 27th.

Guess what I never got? I had tried calling them God knows how many times and had left messages. NO ONE CALLED BACK. I had tried emailing them - including replying back to the email that "Kevin" had sent me for the contract - EVERYTHING WAS BOUNCED BACK TO ME.
Definitely have their act straight.

I was scam on November 29, 2023 by Southpoint Lending group. Emily Young told me I was approved for 5000 loan and to send 600.00 by Western Union. They received my
money and then said I didn't have no loan and they was going to send my money back to me by Western Union on December 28, 2023. Been calling the phone number 1-888-217-7578 and haven't been able to get an answer and no returned call back. Be aware of these people and Southpoint lending group.

My story is identical to the story already posted. Verbatim . The only difference is after I sent the money and the loan didn’t materialize , I was told it was because of insurance reasons & that I’d have to put forward 6 months of payments and I needed to send another payment if 675$ which I foolishly did. Only for no loan to come. I was scammed my “Emily Young” and Southportlending group. For a grand total of close to 1300$ .

was contacted via phone after filling out an online contact form to inquire about a personal loan. A few days later a lady bamed Emily Young had called me and said they were unable to verify my credit score but it didnt matter because they had a lender who was willing to approve me the $5000 anyways. She said there was one of two options available in order to recieve the loan. The first option was to get a cosigner with a credit score of 700 and makes at least 30k a year. The second option was to do a collateral payment of $675 which would make up the first 3 months of payments. I said I would take the second option then i wont owe anything until February of 2024. Sent over the paperwork with the contract waitied about 2 hours and she called me back. She had told me I needed to send the $675 to a guy in alberta canada. I had questioned her after about who bryan was why hes in canada and whats the name of the lender who was going to give me $5000. Couldnt answer me except to say the lender is southport lending. At this point i grew weary because why does a lender want to recieve money bia moneygram and do the pick up cash option. I didnt fall for it. I came onto the ScamPulse.com website to see if i could find similar stories and i indeed did just that. Someone else had made a report on here about sending money to a person in alberta canda after being told he was approved for 5000 as well. Beaware of these people and remember to never send money through un traceable sources such as cash app, moneygram, etc.
When I asked for a refund I got told it would be December 22nd. The 22nd rolled around and nothing. They scammed me.
