The person identified himself as a representative from my credit card company investigating suspicious charges. He then said he was putting security alerts on my account and that he was making some “dummy transactions” to test the alerts. He did this several times. He would place a charge on my account and then credit it. I thought everything was ok at first but then I started to feel like something wasn’t quite right and I asked him if I could speak with someone else just to verify everything and he said someone would call me back. That’s when I called my credit card company and they told me he didn’t work for them. He charged $5,865.00 on my credit card and now I have to dispute this charge and ho l’m not held responsible for this fraudulent charge.
