I was re-selling a purse and they messaged me on the site and asked if I would email them. Normally I wouldn’t do it but I thought it was the same person I bought the purse from and he wanted to buy it back. So through email he asked if I could hold the purse and he would send me a check pay extra money to me for holding it for him and so I said yes. Next email I received he told me his associate accidentally sent me a much larger check and would like me to deposit it via Atm or mobile deposit and then send him back via Zelle the extra money. I read about these scams the check looks very real but is fraud. I have the check now and I’m going to report it to the authorities
