I called Spectrum customer service for a better discounted internet rate. Phone line was somehow hijacked by the scammer. He sent me a weblink by SMS and asked that I authorize payment of $50, and would get a discounted rate of $50 internet service fee by Spectrum each month thereafter. He knows my billing day too. I found later that the $50 was charged on the same day Spectrum charged me my monthly internet service fee.
