I called and they knew my account number and how much I was paying every month. they said I needed to pay for 8 months in advance and then it would go to $66 a month for the rest of the 2 years. I had to call back to 888-330-5137 to pay it with gift cards. They said they would pay my next payment immediately and they did. That's what got me. I thought it was a scam but when they got into my account and made a payment it looked like it was Spectrum. The information I gave them was the four digit code from Spectrum. I have reported this to spectrum. The scammer paid it with a bank account number (ending in 3756). Spectrum is able to see more of the information that is there on the bank account they used but they can't share with me the informaiton.
I cannot believe I was so stupid that I fell for this but I am so angry at Spectrum for how much they cost and I have technical issues that are difficult to resolve I just jumped on the chance to save some money and they were able to know my account information and login. They knew when they first talked with me how much I was paying so I don't see how they were able to get that information. I am devasted!
Please do something to stop them.
