Same number but different name. I don’t remember applying for this job and on their website there’s no such position available.

I was reached out to via text after applying for a data entry job on Indeed. They sent me a text from the phone number +1 (332) 203-3969, said hello with my full name followed by “I am Mrs. Kuhn Scott (Recruiting Head Dept. to Speedy Remodeling).”

For anyone reading, do not respond! The company she claims to be from is NOT the same company I applied to (Scantek Office Systems).

Hopefully for others that are googling the name, phone number, and company will come across this post.

Hello. So i applied to a data entry job on indeed for speedy remodeling company. About 2-3 weeks later someone reached out regarding an interview in which took place an hour after i responded to the email regarding setting it up. It was very sketchy. The interview was held via chat and I was “employed” afterwards. They requested my personal address and asked other personal questions. An email was sent to me to retrieve my social security number via a w-4 form. I never completed it due to my suspicions. Via the chat i was required to report there every day at a certain time without being paid. They required me to receive and deposit a check to purchase equipment. When i rejected that and due to my legal jargon they have not responded because i refuse to deposit a check and purchase equipment within a 24hr span. I will try to attach as much of the chat as possible to this report. I was only able to attach screenshot regarding check. I can send the rest of screenshots to an email if provided.
