I Have been job searching for a data entry/ customer service position and was contacted by speedysremodeling.com. I was asked to install Google chat and book a time for an interview. I did what was requested and had an interview via chat to test my typing speed and response time. I was then scored 82/100 at the end and said that congratulations I got the remote job. They asked for my address and said they were sending a check to my house to deposit and purchase the software needed and equipment. What was weird was they also asked which banking institution I used and for how long to see if it would be their regular payroll institution. I will attach a screenshot and also take the check to the authorities. I have not filled out any personal info yet and I will not as I realized at the end of the call that this was a very elaborate scam. I just hope no one falls for it because if they do, you will end up giving them your social security # for "employment" and banking info for direct deposit.

I let Indeed know so hopefully they can filter these scammers out.
