I was given a link from Patsy Johnson to IM "Spherion Hiring Manager_01" He conducted an interview via Facebook IM, (I have the conversation in my IM). He told me that I was hired and I needed to purchase software. I asked if I was going to be reimbursed and he said that they would send me a check via email (I have the email) and that I was to take $100 and the rest was to pay for the software and they will let me know what company I need to contact to purchase the software. I looked up the recruiting company and it was valid. I deposited the check via phone. Patsy keeps contacting me to find out what is going on and if I checked to see if my bank shows the check was deposited.
I contacted my bank the day after I deposited the check to tell them that I believe it is fraud and they informed me that my bank account is locked until the investigation has been complete and they may contact me with questions. They also may choose not to keep me as a customer.
