We had to go to the emergency room at the end of 2020. We got the bill in the mail and paid it immediately, splitting the funds between our credit card and HSA debit card. I just received what looks like another bill from "Spokane Emergency Care Phys" asking me to pay almost $200 more. It shows the original date that we went to the ER and the name of my child (**** * *******) along with the service fee for the ER. Then it shows an adjustment for insurance and the total amount we are supposed to pay. The statement gives us a website to go to to pay the bill and a password to use. I found my statements showing we had paid the bill and tried to call the number to let them know that we had already paid. The phone number sounded extremely scammy, so I hung up and looked up the company.
