I had downloaded an Adobe update which was a virus. Had numerous pop-ups. Tried to contact Apple on-line to fix but got redirected to this phone number. They called me and then got on the computer to check for trouble. Seemed okay until they wanted access for 40-60 minutes to repair. At that point I called Apple from my phone. Apple does not take over control of your computer. They guide you but you do the clicking. After 2 calls I believe my system is okay but did change any passwords that I was using on my computer because I don't know what this person had access to.

They are posing as Apple, but are in no way connected to Apple. Sent me a fake invoice, which prompted me to click a dispute charge link, which gathered all of my information from there.

On 10-19-17, a man called my elderly father and claimed he was with AT&T/Directv. Said he was selling $99. phone, internet, tv package. My father got the man's phone number and called him back. The phone number was 1-224-301-8292 with an extension 8024. He said his name was Dave. My father agreed to the deal. My father already has AT&T/Directv installed at his house, but thought he could save some money with this package. The man asked him questions for the install, including his whole social security number and his credit card number. Since my father is already with AT&T/Directv, I explained to him that they already have his social security number on file and shouldn't need to ask for it again. Later that evening around 10:00 p.m. when my father was already in bed, the man called him back asking more questions. My father told him he wasn't answering any more questions and that he was sleeping. My father called me the next day (10-20-17) and mentioned this. I researched this phone number and even contacted AT&T/Directv and could not find this phone number linked to this business. I went to my father's house to check his caller ID and the man's phone number showed as "UNAVAILABLE".

I answered the first time and it sounded as if the lady was in a mall. There was a lot of loud background noise. The lady said my first and last name and said she was with AT&T and needed me to verify my address and the last 4 of my social security number. I told her I am not sure why AT&T is calling me. I haven't missed any payments and I don't have any issues with service or my account. The lady said she couldn't tell me why she was calling until I verified my address and social security number. I told her I didn't feel comfortable giving her that information. She then sounded frustrated and told me to call the general number. I called AT&T and they said they DO NOT ask for the last 4 of social security and they don't ask you to verify your address. I blocked the number but I still keep getting phone calls.

I received a call from what seems to be from a DirectTV representative. They informed me that Amazon and Direct TV had a promotion and since I was a long time client I was one of the lucky people to which the promotion was offered. I needed to buy an Amazon gift card for $350.00 at any local store. I needed to call the following number 855-580-4895 ext 1 and give the representative the Amazon Card number and my Direct TV bill was going to be $69.99 for two years and my next DirectTV payment was going to be March 2018 and from there on $69.99 for the next two years. The 855 580-4895 recording sounded just like the real DirectTV . The scammer representative even knew that I had change from the home telephone number to my cell phone number, he told me " that is not the number on file" and that was true because I changed from my home phone number to my cell number because it was more convenient for me to being-touched with Direct TV and get any information.

I lost $350.00 but I am writing so another person does not have to be a victim to these scammers.

Than you so much for taking your time to be this personal email.

A man called late one afternoon asking me if I had been having problems with my directv programming when it would storm because they have gotten a lot of complaints from my area and that they would replace my equipment for free because it was going to be outdated soon anyways .He said that it was not a scam and told me his name was *** I think and told me if I had any problems or questions to call this number *** but the number that showed up on my phone was directv's number *** I told him I would have to talk it over with my husband first and he said he would call back the next afternoon so I decided to call directv the next day to see if this was true and they said no and that they had not called me so I did not receive another call from the scammer until the following afternoon but I did not answer it I just wonder what information they would have tried to get from me if I had.

I received a text message with information about receiving $500 per week to put the Cricket Wireless logo on your personal vehicle. An email address was listed as point of contact. I emailed the address and received an email back with additional information and requesting personal information such as my address, telephone numbers, make model of cars etc. I sent the information back. But After researching a bit, I found that this was a scam to get my bank account information and they would then mail me a check and once I deposited the fake check they would have my account info.
