I was trying to purchase a puppy. Was told the puppy & shipping would be $690 sent by Zelle. I was told once they had the puppy at the airport and there were unforseen fees due to Covid. I had to send another $950 in order for her to be shipped, but this was refundable. Never received puppy and did not get my $950 back from my bank.

I submitted a request through SpringCreek Schnauzer's website to inquire about purchasing a puppy listed as available on their site. I found one number under their contacts page that I was never able to reach someone on. Someone started emailing me and told me that I would be given a discounted price for the dog and that I would receive a puppy contract after I had paid. This is not the way that reputable breeders do contracts. After further examination of the photos on the site, I realized that they had used stock photos and photos of different dogs. When asked about their show awards they claim to have, I was directed back to their website which has a lot of information but no specifics. I have uploaded a screenshot of the puppy contract I was sent after a lot of pushback. When I asked about payment methods, the seller said that they only accept Western Union or Zelle; both of which are commonly used for scammers. At this point, I had an address on the letterhead and used that to investigate further. This address has been used previously for two different puppy scams. (Dean Peters Miniature Schnauzers and Plumcreek Miniature Schnauzers)
