On September 30th, my cell phone number was stolen and ported to Sprint thru a Boost Mobile center by a scanner who somehow obtained my pin. At the time, my husband had suffered a stroke, so it was essential to be able to get calls from his family, physicians, my family and for him to reach me when I was not with him. I have contacted my carrier & Sprint and neither company is able or willing to switch my number BACK to my phone because this person has obviously changed the pin. I am in the process of filing a police report and fraud claims against the businesses but in the meantime, I have lost my phone in the middle of a medical crisis. Now I need to obtain a new number and pay for a new service. I'm distraught over the whole situation. I've lost all my phone numbers and contacts. Luckily, none of my banking info is on there. Please let more people know about this. I had great security in my phone and have no idea how they got my pin!!!
