Scammed Marketing Services & Selling/Giving Personal Info

I spoke with someone from Square media a year ago and was charged for services that I never ordered. We had just taken over the company so I thought it was a service the previous owners had. They tried to charge me for "past due" and for following year of service $891. Come to find out this was not the case. Now I get several calls from other marketing companies "AR Marketing", "DM Marketing" that say I need to pay to cancel this service I set up with them (which was originally the Square Media). They will play back the recorded conversation I had with SM that has my billing info and to prove I spoke with them and it was agreed to, but I never entered into business with these companies. I KNOW this recorded conversation was from SM. I remember it, and regret giving that info out. At the time, I thought it was a legitimate marketing service that my company previously had. But now, that billing is out there and these other companies have it and are using it to trying bill me for $2999 and $4725 in "past due marketing services". I am reporting this to my bank as well. Fortunately, they do not have our correct address, so payments never went through. Attachments show invoices received from varies marketing companies we nor the previous owners did business with.

Same thing just happened to me. $891 bill on services I've never ordered. Why would a company bill for 18 months of services at the end of an "agreed period", instead of up front? And supposedly being from Boston, the caller ID listed a local number. I asked about that, and they gave me some kind of an excuse that it was to save money by using a remote phone number. Ignore them, and like a bad President, someday they'll go away.

These people mailed out an "invoice statement" called claiming that in order to cancel our "online business advertising listing" with them, we would need to pay off the yearly service contract fee of $891.00. They claimed that the service agreement was made verbally, over the phone with the owner, which was a complete lie because my boss doesn't speak to any so-called marketing "representatives over" the phone. SquareMediaOnline.com is running a highly organized business scam and they must be reported to Consumer Affairs!

Same scam. Called to get an invoice from 2019 paid and when I questioned why it took so long to get an invoice, claimed it was their way of giving us extra time to pay because of covid. WTH? What does covid have to do with ONLINE advertising? Never requested it, never called the owner (which they claimed they did). Looking to have confirmation in writing that everything has been deleted so sent an email today to the email contact they have listed online and it bounced back undeliverable. Scammers. Beware. Get a real job.

Same as everyone above - received invoice in the mail and threw it away because I had never heard of them and did not ever use them. Then the calls started, saying I authorized their services in 2019 and now owe them money. I told that if I had authorized any services, there would be a contract I had signed and I had not because I have never heard of them! They kept persisting so I hung up on them and blocked their number. FYI - the number they were calling me on was my "listed" business number. Any vendors or anything I do direct business with would have had my direct line.

Square media solutions keeps emailing me for $891.00 , the email on the invoice to contact them comes back as address not found but also on the website is 2 different emails and same with 2 different address from our invoice, they call 2 times a day now harassing us with payment to pay over the phone or e transfer,yet it’s not even due for another 2 weeks on the invoice ? I said we only do banking at the bank, so we have no way of paying them , and she didn’t understand how we pay through the bank ?

We had never heard of these guys, they said they sent an email that they would do some online marketing for free...never got that! And would never had agreed...we are well set up and turn down about 10-15 calls from marketers every week ...after this bogus free 3 months they said we accepted their offer by pressing 1 on a call...but we have an answering service! Sent us a bill for $850. Which they call 3xweek to try to bully us into. Crooks! Scammers and I told them so in explicit language.

Square Media Solutions is a MASSIVE scam!
Never heard of them until they called and said we owed them money.
Claimed that our owner go them the go ahead, NEVER happened.
Nobody talks to my boss, unless I let them.
They keep calling threatening and harassing us about money we do not owe them.
Some of the many, many numbers they call on, even comes up as a Scam Caller.
These guys need investigated and SHUT DOWN!

We have never heard of square media online. I do all our marketing and i have never signed up for their "free trial". They then say since you didnt cancel your free trial we figured you enjoyed our services and charge a monthly fee. They tried to collect $891 from us, and send us an invoice via email. Told them we need proof that we signed up for this "free trial". The caller on the phone was harrasing that a debt collector will be calling us if not paid, and that sign i authorized the invoice to be sent over- i have to pay it. Beware- big red flag.

We received a phone call first stated we adopted their service and have an uncollected bill. then we were emailed an Invoice, however our marketing company has advised they did not hire Square media and that this must be a business scam. Our employees also agree we have not heard of nor asked for square media services.

We asked they please provide an Agreement to advertise or signed disclosure stating we agreed to do business with for payment, otherwise it would be passed on to our legal advisor. We have not received an email reply. We did recently receive a new phone call asking for the company owner to pay the bill.

They called to offer a free trail for their services and I told them I didn't have a web page nor face book page for my business and I was not going to pay for any of their services. They gave no phone number to contact. I never heard from them until they called for an email address to send the invoice. I saw no reports on what they were suppose to do and no web site to check and see what they did.
