I've actually reported this previously. I was initially contacted by email from [email protected] offering me an opportunity to interview for a work at home admin/data entry job. When I responded, they told me to locate an individual named Marty Miller on Google Hangouts for an online interview. I interviewed with "Mr. Miller" and was hired on the spot - which was suspicious immediately. He advised me that they needed me to purchase some office equipment and would mail me a check. I continually requested some sort of official documentation from his company and he advised I would receive it later - I became doubly suspicious that he would mail a check for several thousand dollars to an individual who was not officially on their payroll. Today I received a check for $4950.00 via Fedex. The check was drawn from Bank of Southside Virginia. I had previously checked on your site and was aware there was an active scam. I called the bank and they confirmed it is a conterfeit check. I have attached a scan for you to review. The bank advised me to destroy the check, but I wanted to make sure nobody would want to see it first. I may call my local police as well.

I have read about a similar scam perpetrated on someone else. I received an email from the address shown asking me to meet the "hiring manager" on Google Hangouts. He used the name MartyMiller8000 - I wondered why he didn't use a more professional name, and he spoke broken English, so I did not believe Marty Miller was his real name. I went through an interview process and was offered a work at home position making $35 an hour immediately - that's when I became suspicious. I checked the ScamPulse.com website earlier and found the similar complaint. I am to meet "Mr Miller" tomorrow AM on Google hangouts. I was since approached by a similar scammer via text message to my cellphone - I will report this one seperately.
