I thought this was part of real SSN website until it asked for SSN of parents. I backed out and closed window without submitting form.

Found actual .gov site and set up my profile and made request. Look for .gov and know that you do not need anyone else’s information or to pay any money to request a replacement SSN card.

thought it was a govt website to require social security card replacement. website asked for my SS# and also for both of my parents before requesting payment
